About the Book
Izu, located in the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and a designated UNESCO Global Geopark, is recognized for the sublime beauty of its coastline. Thanks to its mild, rainy climate and its varied topography with significant vertical distribution, the region is also home to an incredibly rich diversity of trees.
This photobook is a collection of fine-art photography featuring the trees of Izu, captured over the course of 13 years. These images span the diverse landscapes of the peninsula through all four seasons and across all hours, from dawn until deep into the night.
It is my hope that this collection will inspire not only nature lovers but all readers to reflect on our environment and find a sense of healing within these pages.
