Havana is a city notoriously stuck in time. The repurposing of rainbow coloured cars from the 1950s as taxis, shop designs frozen in the past with a limited selection of goods, and crumbling yet beautiful colonial buildings adds to the weird time slips, translocations and mismatches. However it is the enthusiastic street life lived on the pavement, stoops and steps, and peered through car windows and rickshaws, that provides the glimpses into the reality of Cuba.
